Keswick, Lake District

Hi all,
Kate and Will's Royal Wedding meant Hayley and I had an extra long weekend to go camping. We camped at a lovely  farm camp site set on top of a hill looking out over Lake Derwent in Keswick. We did 2 massive walks. Saturday's walk was 16km from the camp site down into Keswick and then around lake Derwent, up the 'Cats Bells fell' before taking refuge from the almost gale force wind in a lovely small tea house for some afternoon tea.

Sunday's walk was planned with the continuing gale force winds and afternoon tea in a pub in mind. We managed to stay rather sheltered from the wind in our epic 18km walk, but the pub was nowhere to be seen! Some misleading information left Hayley and I both disappointed that afternoon tea was not going to include beers and some hot chips!

The view from our tent - NO JOKES!!

Sunday's walk down the valley you can see in the middle of the shot.
